Many nonprofit organizations are designed with specific users in mind, often inadvertently excluding what is needed for people who have traditionally disadvantaged identities. To enhance workplace equity, it is essential to intentionally integrate inclusive practices while removing barriers that hinder a positive culture of belonging. In this JPro Master Class, participants will use the iceberg systems model to critically examine their organizations through an equity lens. Participants will gain actionable insights and clear steps to implement foundational and structural changes that will foster more equitable practices and policies.
Throughout this Master Class, participants will engage in interactive exercises, group discussions, and reflective activities to deepen their understanding and develop practical steps tailored to their organizational context.
By the end of this class you will:
- Develop a deep understanding of how mental models and hidden structures perpetuate inequity and exclusion in organizations.
- Identify and design new mental models that promote more equitable practices, belonging, and inclusive leadership.
