Cultivating Team Wellness

Clockwise from top left: Yavilah McCoy, CEO and Founder, Dimensions Educational Consulting; Josh Feldman, Founder and CEO, and Rachel Zieleniec, Chief Program Officer, R&R: The Rest of Our Lives; and Sarah Waxman, Founder and CEO, At the Well

Over the last few years, we have been confronted with many work-adjacent challenges. Covid, natural disasters, and the Israel-Hamas War, have shaken our sense of normalcy and have ongoing ramifications for the way that employees show up at work. How can managers cultivate a sense of wellbeing among their direct reports to ensure that people can take care of themselves so that we can get the important work done? Join JPro for a three-part Master Class highlighting three ways that managers can foster a culture of rest and wellness at work: through individual behaviors, staff meetings, and across organizational culture.

This class is for you if:

  • You are a manager looking for ideas and support in promoting a culture of wellbeing in your workplace.
  • You understand the importance of creating opportunities for rest on your team, but aren’t sure where to start.
  • You are looking for concrete examples of how you can integrate rest into your team’s/organization’s culture.

This class is not for you if:

  • You are not willing to experiment with different approaches to promoting employee wellbeing.
  • You are interested in promoting wellbeing, but do not have influence over setting team culture.
Course details:

Session 1, May 28: Yavilah McCoy, CEO and Founder, Dimensions Educational Consulting, will explore the leadership practice of nurturing "liberatory cultures for liberatory organizations." Deepen your understanding of operational behaviors and policies that support and sustain rest in healthy work cultures.

Session 2, June 4: Josh Feldman, Founder and CEO, and Rachel Zieleniec, Chief Program Officer, R&R: The Rest of Our Lives will address burnout with ways to make your work day and work week feel more sustainable by finding your "glimmers" (opposite of triggers). This session will include a virtual moving/walking experience that is built for all bodies and capabilities.

Session 3, June 11: At the Well Founder and CEO, Sarah Waxman, will share helpful tips for building team culture in a way that supports employee well-being. Focus on the structure and cadence of team meetings, and how to foster togetherness and wellness on a team, particularly in a virtual environment.
