Rob Goldberg (he/him) is currently the CEO of the Buffalo Jewish Federation. For 15 years prior to Federation, Rob was a senior leader for Hillel International: Foundation for Jewish Campus Life working from both Washington D.C. and for the last 10 years working remotely from his hometown of Buffalo. During his time at Hillel, Rob led multiple Birthright trips, advised and mentored dozens of young professionals, led a system-wide strategic planning process and worked with volunteer leaders from around North America to energize and strengthen Hillel’s global footprint. In 2015 Rob was invited to lead a renaissance at Buffalo’s Federation where he had been serving on Federation’s Executive Committee. Under Rob’s leadership, Federation has rebranded, dramatically expanded its asset pool, and absorbed 4 community agencies into its operation. Today, Federation's 25 person staff is now working completely remotely. Moreover, Rob and his team approach their work from an engagement mindset, connecting with hundreds of formerly uninvolved community members in problem solving, planning and building initiatives designed to create a flourishing and connected Jewish Buffalo. Rob received a BA in Religious Studies from Brown University and an MBA from Bryant University. He and his wife Shira live in the Buffalo suburbs and enjoy spending time with their three married children and six grandchildren.
