In these two hours you will learn step by step how to create Pie, Column, Line, and Scatter Charts, while understanding how and why they work, and when to use each type. You will instantly set yourself apart from 99.9% of the population who either does not use charts at all, or simply uses the default settings. In short, leveraging charts correctly will help you communicate more effectively, influence stakeholders, and be seen as professional, polished, and promotable.
This class is PERFECT for you if:
- You use Excel every day but have never created a chart on your own from scratch.
- You have tried using charts before but felt intimidated and limited.
- You find yourself using other people’s charts but are hesitant to make changes in fear that they might break.
This class is NOT for you if:
- You have never touched a spreadsheet before or you rarely use Excel. If this is the case, you will not have a foundation on which to leverage charts.
- You already consider yourself to be an expert with charts, and are looking for more advanced functionality (e.g. Waterfall Charts, dynamic data labels, automating charts using Macros, etc).
A Note Regarding Compatibility:
The class will be taught using Excel 2019 for PC, but the principles will also apply to Mac users. Menus, labels, and shortcuts may be different, but the concepts are universal and transferable across operating systems. IMPORTANT: Creating charts in Google Sheets will NOT be covered in this class.
