Biography
Ted Comet was the director of the American Zionist Youth Foundation from 1956-68 and founded the Israel Day Parade to show support for the newly created State of Israel to the larger community.
He later became a key official of the Council of Jewish Federations (the precursor of the Jewish Federations of North America) and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. He is now the honorary associate executive vice-president of the JDC. He is 98 years old and going strong.
