Management author Ken Blanchard wrote, “Feedback is the breakfast of champions.” And yet, most of us find giving feedback tricky, and receiving feedback hard to swallow. When we give feedback, we are often unclear or indirect, so we don’t help others make meaningful changes. And when we get feedback, we often experience it as a threat to our sense of identity, and react in ways that range from defensive and denial to dwelling and dramatizing. In this 90 minute session, you will learn a simple framework for giving effective feedback and for receiving feedback with less defensiveness.
