Antisemitism and Allyship

Vlad Khaykin, National Director, Programs on Antisemitism, and Tema Smith, Director, Jewish Outreach & Partnerships,ADL

Since the Hamas massacre in Israel on October 7, there has been a sharp spike in antisemitism in the US and around the world. In a recent report from the ADL Center on Extremism, preliminary data indicates that reported antisemitic incidents of harassment, vandalism and assault increased by 388% from October 7 – 23, 2023 compared to the same period last year. This equates to 312 antisemitic incidents, 190 of which were linked directly to the war in Israel and Gaza.

Along with the rise in antisemitism has come increased fear within Jewish communities, organizations, and professionals about how to address rhetoric stemming from the war in Israel.

Join JPro for Zoom In: Antisemitism and Allyship where Vlad Khaykin, National Director, Programs on Antisemitism, and Tema Smith, Director, Jewish Outreach & Partnerships, from the Anti-Defamation League will discuss the history of antisemitism, the connection to anti-Israel hostility and how our communities can come together in allyship to support one another.
